Contract Manager

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Contract Manager to support our growing business. As Contract Manager you will have a broad interface to internal and external stakeholders and a wide range of responsibilities within contract management including assessing contractual risks and opportunities and advising the business to optimize execution and administration of contracts with customers and contractors considering risk mitigation, internal bidding and contracting standards to maximize customer satisfaction and commercial results.

You will join an experienced team in a high-impact and challenging role dedicated to making a difference for our customers. Our projects span from lump sum projects to large complex manning projects where technical skills and business acumen are key to succeed.

The position can be managed from our offices in Aberdeen, United Kingdom or Aarhus, Denmark.

 

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the efforts associated with the contract life cycle management for sales contracts including reviewing, drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts, monitoring of contract performance and compliance, recommending improvements as well as monitoring contract process and ensuring contract accuracy.

Your tasks include:

  • Apply formal, best practice methodologies to develop and implement contract strategies to support the sales process
  • Assess legal input on terms and conditions of contracts based on knowledge and experience and translate all input into practical contractual terms and conditions
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support on contractual matters during tender, awarding and handover phase of the contract by preparation on, alerting and dealing with possible claims and variations
  • Manage formal communication with customers, key partners and key subcontractors
  • Collaborate with the sales & tender teams as well as technical and project managers during contract negotiations and execution
  • Prepare, issue, and review supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing
  • Improve and simplify legal and contracting processes

 

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you have minimum 5 years of experience with contract and risk management during tender and procurement processes, preferably from the renewable industry and/or industrial projects. You have successfully provided broad-based and thorough commercial contract management applying your commercial skills. You have a master’s degree or equivalent probably within legal, commercial, or engineering fields. You have worked in an international environment and you must be fluent in both written and oral English on a very high level on which you are able to hold contractual discussions.

You are a strong communicator and networker with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect.

With a strong commercial mind-set, you have the ability to react to business opportunities. You are result-oriented and able to handle complex situations without losing focus on the important issues and are structured and analytical with a pragmatic outlook.
